Norwich has officially sacked Daniel Farke after he guided the side to their first 2-1 league win against Brentford on Saturday afternoon.
Officially, Norwich has sacked the 45-year-old Daniel Farke. As confirmed, he will leave the club with immediate effect. Farke’s dismissal came after Norwich beat Brentford 2-1 to claim their first Premier League victory of the 2021/22 season.
Drawing from reports, Farke received his marching orders after he had completed his media duties at the Brentford Community Stadium.
Also dismissed is their assistant head coach Edmund Riemer, first-team coach Christopher John and head of performance Chris Domogalla.
Their statement read, “Norwich City can confirm that head coach Daniel Farke has left the club with immediate effect”.
“Daniel departs Carrow Road having overseen 208 competitive games at the helm across a four and a half year spell”.
“Backroom staff members Eddie Riemer, Chris Domogalla, and Christopher John have all also left the club. The club will issue a further update on its first team staff in due course”.
Similarly, the club’s Sporting Director Stuart Webber also added, “In continuing to demand the very best for our football club, this decision was not an easy one”.
“I know how determined Daniel and his staff were to succeed at this level. But we feel that now is the right time for a change. We need to give ourselves the best opportunity of retaining our Premier League status”.
“All at Norwich City should be forever grateful to Daniel and his staff for the significant role they have played in our journey”.
“They helped deliver two Championship titles, many memorable moments and they all fully bought into our philosophy and what it means to be part of this football club”.
