NZ dethrone PAK from ICC ODI Rankings
Pakistan team captain Babar Azam says that he was not told that he would be retained till the 2023 World Cup. During the press conference after the defeat in the last ODI against New Zealand, Babar Azam said that the series was very good, good news was also received. All the matches will be a good opportunity to prepare for the ICC World Cup 2023.
When asked about the resentment in the team and Imam-ul-Haq’s viral tweet, the captain said, “There is no resentment in this team. This team is united. This team is like a family, in which everyone trusts each other. I didn’t see Imam-ul-Haq’s tweet. I will see what he tweeted, I don’t think Imam’s tweet has anything to do with the match.
Talking about the performance of the New Zealand team, Babar said, “I did not think that the New Zealand B team was playing. You cannot think for any team whether it is weak or strong.
He further said, “I don’t know anything about captaincy till the World Cup. I was not told that I would continue as captain till the World Cup. The arrival of the new management has not made much difference.”

PAK vs NZ ODI Series

On the statement of Mohammad Rizwan’s desire to play at number 4, Babar Azam said that Rizwan had expressed his desire to play at number 4, but there is no player who says that he will not play in such a position. Everyone wants to play for Pakistan and everyone wants Pakistan to win, all the matches before the World Cup are important.”
Not this PAK became the number one ODI Team for the first time in ODI History but just for 48 hours after taking 4-0 over New Zealand. But this happiness was not lasted for too long as New Zealand defeated Pakistan in the last ODI Match to make it 4-1 and dethrone pakistan from the top spot.
