According to the latest reports, five matches of the Italian Serie A have been postponed due to the spread of the Coronavirus in the country. Juventus – Inter match is among the postponed games.

 

Before that, there was talk that the matches would be played. But they were not going to allow the spectators to attend the games. Although it would be bad for the club’s finances. So, they preferred to delay the game than to hold it without selling tickets.

As it became known, the meetings will be held on May 13.

 

Because of Coronavirus, Italian football is paralyzed

 

As we have already mentioned, the Italian derby between Juventus and Inter will no longer take place on these weekends. Due to the Coronavirus spread in Italy, the 26th round of Serie A, and likely the whole season’s match – Juventus-Inter is postponed until May.

The Italian derby was due to take place on an empty stadium in Turin on March 1. Still, according to Football Italia, the Serie A leadership has decided at the last moment to postpone Juve Inter and four more matches for security reasons.

Thus, the 26th round matches of Serie A: Juventus-Inter, Udinese-Fiorentina, Milan-Genoa, Parma-Spal, and Sassuolo-Brescia will be played on May 13.

Because of the spread of Coronavirus in Italy, matches were postponed in the 25th round of Serie A as well – Verona-Cagliari, Atalanta-Sassuolo, and Inter-Sampdoria.

The Europa League, 1/16 final clash between Inter and Ludogorets, has already taken place with the background of empty tribunes.

 

We want to remind you that after 25 rounds in Serie A, Juventus tops the table with 60 points. The other is Lazio (59), while Milan’s Inter, who have played one game less, is third with 54 points.
