The pitch of Optus Stadium is generally known for helping fast bowlers, because of extra bounce and pace. But at times, batsmen dp enjoy batting on a deck where they can trust the bounce and play in the link shots.
The pitch for the final match is expected to be batting friendly. According to Brad Hodge, the pitch report is:
“Well, out in the middle of the Perth Stadium and I’ll tell you what is absolutely boiling overhead, it’s probably 37 degrees, there’s zero wind, so it’s tough conditions for the players. At the moment we have a look at the surface itself. It’s an absolute Belter in terms of its rock hard.”
“So if you tap your hand on that like that, you can hear it, you can feel it. It’s rock hard, no doubt about it. So the ball will come onto the bat. We have a look down here though. There are a few patches where there’s no live grass. You can see here there’s some live grass, but there are some bare patches, so there might be some areas.”
“That it challenging for the batters if the bowlers get it right. But All in all I’ll tell you what conditions overhead are beautiful. The outfield is lightning fast. I expect really good batting conditions out in the middle. We’ll see some pace and bounce though early.”
