Yet, there is something for Mumbai Indians to deliver and suprise other team. Their are a number of other players who will try their best to win the tournament for their team as well establish their own name for big stage.
A loss also creates an opportunity, and MI coach Mark Boucher has said that it will MI certainly have a suprise package despite absence of their ace bowler. “Losing Bumrah has been a big loss for us, I’ll be honest with that but by losing a player sometimes you get opportunity,” Boucher said during press talk.
“The way Mumbai Indians have selected their squads over the last few years has been…how you select your playing XI and then your back-up XI and then you invest in a couple of youngsters for the future. It’s now time for those youngsters to show up and basically get the opportunities.”
Mumbai Indians will heavily depend on Archer and Behrendorff if he plays but this team has been one where youngsters have always done well. Countless names are there including Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan, all rose through their ranks after putting up an extraordinarily performance in previous IPL seasons.

“For me, the big thing about this season for our bowling line-up is we have got experience, but we’ve got one or two little spaces for couple of the juniors to come through and showcase their skills. I’m looking forward to seeing them,” Boucher said.
“The IPL is a massive event and it’s going to be a great opportunity for some of our young boys to really show up. We’ve got some great variation in our bowling attack; I think our batting is very very strong. But our bowling is almost going to be a surprise package.”
Mumbai has two left-arm quicks, Arshad Khan (from Madhya Pradesh) and Arjun Tendulkar, along with Akash Madhwal (from Uttarakhand), among the uncapped fast-bowling alternatives.
Arjun entered the team with a niggle, according to Boucher, and after seeing him play in a practise game on Wednesday night, they will have a better notion of his fitness.
