You can’t lose your first wicket as run out after conceding 556 runs in first innings. That’s what Pakistan did. Shafiq did a blunder and gifted his wicket to Sweapson.

Pakistan has scored 38 runs in 19 overs before lunch. The second day of the second Test between Pakistan and Australia being played in Karachi also remained in Australia’s name. Even after bowling continuously for two days, Pakistan has not been able to all out Australia so far.

At the end of the second day’s play, Australia scored 505 runs for the loss of eight wickets. The beginning of day 3 was in favour of Australia.

After scoring 28 off 97 balls, he lost his wicket to Shaheen Afridi. From thereon, Cummins and Sweapson scored quick runs and put up a partnership of 51 runs for 10th wicket. After scoring 556 for 9, captain Cummins called off for a declaration.

Talking about day 2, Australia, scored 251/3 on the first day, lost their fourth wicket on the second day at 304. Nathan Lyon, who came as a nightwatchman, lost his wicket after scoring 38 runs.

After this, Travis Head returned to the pavilion after scoring 23 runs at a total of 347. Usman Khawaja, who remained unbeaten on 127 on the first day, was dismissed after scoring 160 runs.

After the fall of six wickets at 360, it seemed that Pakistan would soon wrap up the visiting team, but Alex Carey had other plans. He shared a 45-run partnership for the seventh wicket with Cameron Green (28).

This was followed by a very important 99-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Carey and Cummins (28*) which sent Pakistan in a defensive zone.

After scoring 93, Carey was clean bowled by Babar Azam. Two overs before the end of the day’s play, Carey lost his wicket and his chance to score a century was also missed.

Spinner Sajid Khan has bowled the most 54 overs for Pakistan and has got two wickets. Another spinner Nauman Ali took one wicket while bowling 45 overs.

Talking about the fast bowlers, Shaheen Afridi has not got any wicket despite bowling 30 overs on the second day. However, he bagged an early wicket of Mitchell Starc on third day. Hasan Ali took one wicket in 24 overs and Faheem Ashraf took two wickets in 21 overs.
