If Paul Pogba decides to leave Manchester United this summer, he is said to be receptive to bids from other Premier League clubs.

In 2016, Paul Pogba joined United for a then-world-record sum of £89 million. But his contract at Old Trafford will expire at the end of the season after a difficult season in which he has struggled to perform at his best.

Despite the fact that he is now free to negotiate with any of Europe’s great clubs outside of the Premier League, the 28-year-old is more focused on having a successful finish to the season with United after returning from injury.

According to reports, he wants to avoid discussing his future until the end of the season, which includes the possibility of a move to one of United’s English rivals.

Despite the lack of a transfer fee, many English clubs will struggle to afford the French World Cup winner’s salary, which might reach £200,000 per week.

Manchester City could be interested in bringing Pogba to the Etihad Stadium in a sensational cross-city switch, with Pep Guardiola previously claiming that he had been offered the chance to sign the midfielder by Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola in 2018, when the player was at odds with then-Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.

‘Two months ago, he offered me (Henrikh) Mkhitaryan and Pogba to play with us,’ he claimed in January 2018. Mkhitaryan and Pogba were two players he wanted to play with us. Pogba is a fantastic player. ‘A top-notch performer.’

While staying at United is still an option, European clubs are expected to make offers, with Paris Saint-Germain leading the charge from overseas.

Despite his reputation in France, Pogba has never played a senior domestic club game in his homeland since joining United’s academy in 2009.

While retaining Pogba as a player is a significant priority for PSG, there is a sense that bringing the 28-year-old back to France would also be beneficial commercially.

Juventus, Barcelona, and Real Madrid are all keeping an eye on Pogba’s status and may make pre-contract offers.

Pogba, on the other hand, wants to consider all of his alternatives, including a potential new term with United, before making a decision on his future.

Despite United’s recent unsteady performances, Pogba has started to find form under Ralf Rangnick, having developed an efficient playing combination in midfield with Bruno Fernandes.
