English football pundit Paul Scholes has suggested that Dutch winger Cody Gakpo and French player Christopher Nkunku are candidates to replace Ronaldo in the Red Devils.

How was everything?

The great Premier League club Old Trafford turned out to be a small striker after they made the decision to end Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract and release him as a free agent. There’s still a lot of firepower on their books – with Jadon Sancho, Antony, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford competing for minutes – but the expectation is that Manchester United will be diving back into the transfer market at some point to acquire another proven bombardier.

What did Paul Scholes say?

Asked who Man Utd might have been targeting, club legend Paul Scholes said of the stellar turns glaring at RB Leipzig and PSV that he thinks there are a couple of forwards they could look at. According to Paul Scholes, the Guy from RB Leipzig associated with the Blues is Christopher Nkunku. Center forward is obviously a large position that needs to be filled.

They have Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial who can both play there, but Paul thinks Rashford prefers to be wide and Martial’s injury record isn’t great. January may be too early to replace Cristiano, they are probably looking at next summer now, but Scholes thinks there are players there.

The Englishman says PSV Boy Cody Gakpo is doing well against the Netherlands at the World Cup and he thinks head coach Erik ten Hag has been interested in him before. There must be players there. January could be a difficult window for business, Scholes said, but he hopes they can do something to bring in a new centre-forward.
