After leaving Juventus, Paulo Dybala became a free agent, and Manchester United is considering signing him while Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford is in doubt.

Paulo Dybala’s agency has allegedly signed a deal with Manchester United as Erik ten Hag aims to improve his offensive options this summer.

However, with the news that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to quit the team, the Red Devils may be about to lose one of their most crucial strikers. The Portuguese international is dissatisfied that United only qualified for the Europa League and he will not be participating in the Champions League next year.

Despite having just signed a year prior, Ronaldo is reportedly expecting a reasonable offer for his services and will be permitted to bid the club farewell. Since Ronaldo has been “shocked and disillusioned” by the Red Devils’ performances since returning to the team, speculation has grown over his long-term commitment to the team.

However, in an effort to reach an agreement on a contract for the 28-year-old, United are looking for a suitable replacement and have spoken to Dybala’s agents. Arsenal and Manchester United have contacted the forward’s agent, Jorge Antun, according to La Repubblica.

Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan, and Napoli are all reportedly interested.

However, it is known that Inter are eager to close a deal. Romelu Lukaku was previously acquired by the Serie A powerhouses on loan from Chelsea, and they are eager to pair the Belgian striker with Dybala and striking partner Lautaro Martinez, who has been linked with a transfer away but is anticipated to remain at the San Siro.

The Red Devils have increased their interest in the player, who had a seven-year career with the Old Lady and scored 115 goals in 293 appearances.

Despite having a difficult season with injuries and conditioning issues, Dybala managed to directly contribute to 21 goals in 39 games across all competitions before being released by the club.

Despite spending much of his time at Juventus as a No. 10 or second striker, Dybala can also play alone up front and as a winger, giving him the versatility United may need with Ten Hag’s willingness to try out novel tactics.

With more than 50 Champions League matches under his belt, Dybala would add a lot of premier league and European experience to the team. Given that Ronaldo, who has 24 goals for the club, is expected to leave, United may require a player with his creativity, ability to make the decisive pass, and eye for goal.
