Phil Foden thinks Erling Haaland will be unstoppable once he fully adjusts to the pace of the English game.

What did Phil say about Erling Haaland?

The English midfielder says the Norwegian striker is scary in front of the net and looks a lot like Man City legend Sergio Aguero, but also warned it could take time for the £51m summer addition to get used to PL. The Citizens have spent a lot to poach the Norwegian player from Borussia Dortmund, reportedly winning the signing race ahead of hosts of top European clubs.

So far, Phil has been impressed with Erling after seeing his score on his debut in a pre-season clash with Bayern Munich and compared him favorably to Sergio – who scored a record 260 goals for Manchester City between 2011 and 2021.

The English midfielder does feel that it will take time for the Norwegian player to adjust to the pace of English football, however, as he said when he wondered about his new team-mate, he was scared in front of the net.

According to Phil Foden, everyone knows his goal record, how many Erling Haaland scores, but he comes in a completely different league, much faster football, so he may need a little time to get used to, but Phil is sure when he is in his flow he will unstoppable.

Foden says that Sergio is very similar. Erling also has all the different types of finishes. Like Phil said, he’s scary in front of the net and if they can get him the ball in the right areas, he’ll be really important to them this year.

Erling Haaland is a great character

Erling did not take long to integrate into Guardiola’s all-star squad, striking up an early friendship with Manchester City’s record signing Grealish and earning much laughter for passing the Hero to Enrique Iglesias at his initiation. The 22-year-old lies in wait for himself and Phil Foden, and he feels he has the right mindset to help Man City continue their trophy chase on the domestic and European fronts in 2022-23.

Phil Foden on Erling Haaland added that he’s the best guy on the field, he’s a great character, a great addition to the team. Haaland makes everyone laugh and he’s dead humble, which is important when they join a team. Foden says that Erling Haaland is eager to do something with them, so this can only mean good things.
