Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is gearing up for a new career chapter at Camp Nou after being frozen at Emirates Stadium.
What did Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang say?
The Gabon international has pointed to blame for his difficult Arsenal exit at Arteta as Aubameyang was made public by Barcelona. Having been frozen at Emirates Stadium since early December, the striker finally got the move he craved when the League giants signed him on January’s transfer deadline day. A breach of club discipline was the reason for his absence from north London, but Pierre-Emerick claims the Arsenal manager was the only one who had problems with him and ultimately left him no choice but to leave.
At his official opening, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said they were tough months, but he thinks that’s how football is sometimes. According to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for his part he never wanted to do something wrong and now he thinks it’s the past and he wants to think about the present and right now that’s his answer. Aubameyang thinks the problem was only with Mikel Arteta and he made up his mind. Pierre-Emerick can’t say much, he wasn’t happy that’s all. And so it happened. Pierre-Emerick was not very happy, he remained very calm and that’s it.
A little about Aubameyang
The Gabon striker signed for Arsenal in January 2018, with Wenger luring him out of Borussia Dortmund. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang quickly settled into English football and claimed a share of the PL Golden Boot during his first full season, with 22 top goals in 2018-19. In total for Arsenal, he scored 92 times in 163 appearances. Pierre-Emerick was handed the captain’s armband in November 2019 but was stripped of those duties in December 2021 and the opportunity to join Barça proved too good to pass up after advances already scurrying from Saudi Arabia. Pierre-Emerick is now looking to hit the ground running in Spain, with the League’s heavyweights showing their latest addition will be wearing the No. 25 jersey.
