Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) manager Mauricio Pochettino remains confident that the race for the title is still on and his side can win.

PSG will be taking on Olympique Lyonnais in a battle to cement second place with the two clubs both labeled at 60 points. The winner will claim sole possession of the Ligue 1 second place.

Despite the Ligue 1 tight battle and Sunday’s duel with Lyon, Pochettino remains confident they can win the title.

“I am convinced that by doing things right; we can win Ligue 1. I never look for excuses or phrases already made, but this year, some important factors have affected our performance. I am convinced that we can do it,” Pochettino said.

The Parisian capital club will seek to bounce back after a surprise loss last weekend against FC Nantes. Pochettino has received a boost in the return of Brazilian Neymar Jr. the coach discussed the 29-year-old’s return to the PSG lineup and how grateful he is to have him back.

“Neymar is on the list of players who will be in the squad. It is a great joy to be able to count on him. It’s a big step for him and the team,” he said.

“We like to apply common sense. After the game against Caen, it’s been about five weeks or almost six since he played. It won’t be easy to see him from the start of the match. It’s already good that he can be there,” he added.

Marco Verratti also echoed his Manager Pochettino and discussed the return of Neymar Jr. Verratti said that he still finds the Brazilian very strong.

“I still find him very strong. It’s Ney. Even if he’s three or four or five weeks away, he’s pretty much always the best in training. He’s a technically amazing player, and he doesn’t lose anything,” the 28-year-old’s said.

“We are delighted to see him again. I think he’s the most important player for us. He brings a lot of confidence to the team. I hope he will quickly regain his optimal form to help us at the end of the season,” he revealed.
