Tuchel, who took charge of Bayern in March, guided the team to a thrilling Bundesliga victory on the final day of the season, narrowly edging out Borussia Dortmund for the title.

Hamann believes it’s possible that Tuchel might also choose to depart in the near future

Former Bayern Munich midfielder Dietmar Hamann has raised concerns about the possibility of a mass exodus at the club this summer, including the potential departure of manager Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel, who took charge of Bayern in March, guided the team to a thrilling Bundesliga victory on the final day of the season, narrowly edging out Borussia Dortmund for the title. However, the triumph was marred by the sudden dismissals of CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, which occurred just a day before Bayern secured the championship. Hamann believes that the disharmony created by these off-field issues could lead Tuchel to consider leaving the club, despite the manager expressing his desire to stay.

The former midfielder expressed his concerns during a television interview, stating, “When you treat people in this manner, you have to question whether you want to continue working for this club. I believe it’s possible that Tuchel might also choose to depart in the near future but on his own terms.”

Bayern need to be able to concentrate on the game

Tuchel himself addressed the off-pitch turmoil following the team’s title celebrations. He called for a calming of the situation and emphasized the need for himself and his players to focus on football. Speaking at an event in Munich’s Marienplatz, Tuchel stated, “We need things to settle down. The team need to be able to concentrate on the game. We have plenty of work ahead of us: playing faster, playing better, playing more consistently. We strive for improvement in all aspects and to return as a unified force.” When asked about his future with Bayern, Tuchel replied, “I assume so.” However, the uncertainty surrounding the situation leaves room for speculation regarding what lies ahead for the club. The sudden dismissals of Kahn and Salihamidzic have undoubtedly created a sense of instability within Bayern’s hierarchy, raising questions about the direction the club will take moving forward.

The departure of Tuchel, should it come to pass, would represent another significant blow to Bayern, as they have experienced a series of managerial changes in recent years. Tuchel’s short tenure has shown promise, evident in the team’s late surge to secure the Bundesliga title. Losing him now would mean the need for Bayern to once again search for a new manager, adding further disruption to an already tumultuous period. Only time will tell how the situation unfolds at Bayern Munich. The club faces the challenge of addressing the off-field issues that have arisen while striving to maintain success on the pitch. The coming weeks and months will undoubtedly be crucial in determining the future direction and stability of one of Germany’s most prestigious football clubs.
