The treatment of undesired players by Paris Saint-German has been described as “uncompromising and ruthless.”

PSG had compiled a list of “undesirables” who will be transferred this summer. Georginio Wijnaldum, Ander Herrera, Idrissa Gueye, Layvin Kurzawa, Abdou Diallo, Leandro Paredes, Danilo Pereira, Junior Dina Ebimbe, Julian Draxler, and Mauro Icardi have all been listed as outcasts.

According to reports, German international Thilo Kehrer is the latest player to be put on the list. The 25-year-old has been told to practice with the young team as PSG attempts to push his departure.

This comes as French journalist Saber Desfarges alleges that the Ligue 1 champions are treating the players they want to let go in a “uncompromising, even brutal” manner.

Kehrer has spent the last four seasons at PSG, having joined from Schalke for £31 million in 2018. He started 16 Ligue 1 matches last season.

Unlike some of the other ‘unwanteds,’ the defender took part in the pre-season tour of Japan, but with less than a year left on his contract, it looks he has no future under new manager Christophe Galtier.

‘I believe the number of employees should be cut,’ Galtier stated earlier this month.

‘We discussed it extensively with management. You can’t have a season full of players who barely play. They are dissatisfied. We will make sure that the squad is the correct size so that everyone may participate in this season.’
Wijnaldum, Draxler, Kurzawa, and Herrera were among the transfer-listed players who did not travel to Japan with the squad. So yet, though, none of them have obtained moves away from Parc des Princes.

Former Liverpool midfielder Wijnaldum has struggled to make an impact in Paris after joining on a free transfer last summer.

Although not well-known for his goalscoring threat from midfield at club level, the 31-year-old scored three goals and provided three assists in 38 appearances under Mauricio Pochettino last season. Everton, West Ham United, and Leicester City are all interested.

Last month, Icardi slammed suggestions that the Ligue 1 club will try to trade him in the summer, calling the reports a “pack of c**p.”
The Argentine has fallen behind the star-studded front three of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar in the pecking order, having scored just five goals in 30 appearances last season.

Icardi made only 10 league starts in the 2021-22 season, fueling speculation that the 29-year-old is on his way out.

Meanwhile, Herrera is said to be happy in France and was a regular at the start of the season, but he gradually fell out of favor near the end of the season and is now for sale.
Gueye, a former Everton and Aston Villa midfielder, has just one year left on his current contract, which means PSG could lose him for nothing next year. The Toffees would like to re-sign him.

Kurzawa has two years remaining on his contract but has been frozen out, Draxler’s last season was hampered by injury, and Dina Ebimbe, 21, warmed the bench last season.

Long-term Arsenal target Pereira, Diallo, who is being watched by West Ham, and Paredes, who is close to joining Juventus, might all be on the move.
