Amazing performance at Camp Nou stadium

What a flawless show we saw at Camp Nou. New coach’s perfect start against the Granada team. Barca fans were waiting a whole week for a new manager, how he’ll perform his first game at home. Their hopes were justified because the Argentinian phenomenon scored an unanswered goal against Granada, and now they’re on 1st place with 43 points in the Laliga standings. Granada takes only 10th with 27 points at this moment.

Formation and starting lineups

Setien’s team formations were the same as usual: four defenders, three midfielders and three strikers. Between Barca’s strikers, we saw young Ansu Fati, who replaces injured Luis Suarez. Martinez’s team formation was ultimately different: four defenders, five midfielders and one striker – 4-2-3-1. From Barcelona is missing these players: Suarez, Dembele Turan for the reason of injury, and De Jong with a red card. Granada is missing: Lozano, Quini, and Vico with injures and Montoro with yellow cards. Both teams are missing leading players in their starting lineups.

Barcelona’s attractive moments in the first half

1st half started with full dominating of the Barcelona team. Statistics of Setien’s team was above the average ball possession 82 percent, and goal attempts 8, shots on target 2, free kicks 12. Granada luckily miraculously survived scored goals in the first part of the game. Messi was incredibly active and tried a few times to take Martinez’s team door.

Lionel Messi beats the winning goal

The second half was the same Barcelona, and they started the game with fully charged energy. Just amazing ball controlling on 84 percent, goal attempts ten and shots on target 4. It’s just unbelievable how Granada survived the pressure of Messi’s team. Pressing did his job, and German Sanchez took two yellow cards, and the referee sends him out of the pitch. Martinez did substitutions on 56th, 65th and 72nd minutes. But it’s too hard to stand against Barcelona and trio of Messi, Griezmann, and Fati. On 76th minute, Arturo Vidal found a good shooting position, but he saw his teammate and passed the ball to him. Lionel Messi took it nicely and beats the goalkeeper with a precise shot into the bottom left corner to make the score 1:0. Quique Setien replaced his players on 71st minute – Ivan Rakitic by Ricard Puig, 79th minute – young talent and hope for future Ansu Fati by Carles Perez, 83rd minute – Arturo Vidal by Arthur. Sadly there were no serious attempts from Martinez’s to draw the score. The referee added three minutes to the game and ended on 94th minute. Today’s mission has done. The Cules’ new coach has won his first game and cheered fans and football supporters
