CricketRajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings: 3 Players To Watch Out At Sawai Mansingh Stadium

Last time when Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals came face to face at Sawai Mansingh Stadium it was quite heated in the middle. First time we saw MS Dhoni lose his calmness. He interfered on the cricket field, went against umpire and asked him to take a look again at the no ball call which umpire didn’t.

Four long years have passed since that match now Rajasthan Royals are under pressure. They have lost back to back matches after having a great start to their IPL 2023 campaign.

Chennai Super Kings are playing at their best, they are making incredible scores in just pushing the opposition out of the game straight away. However, the pitch of Sawai Mansingh won’t be easy by any means so let’s take a look what players will flourish and who will put up a show on this track:

Jos Buttler

4 years ago, Jos Buttler played one of the best IPL innings of his career. He scored 95 of 60 balls in a 177 run chase and in the last over RR needed 15 runs to win and he did the job against Dwayne Bravo. Once again he will have the opportunity to play at Sawai ManSingh Stadium against one of his favourite teams.

Buttler has don’t well in previous two matches, Siraj removed him for a 2 balls naught and before that he played a sluggish kind of innings. RR’s fate will be decided by the innings of Jos Buttler and a big innings from him is around the corner.

Moeen Ali

The case of Moeen Ali is quite unique. So far, he didn’t have the opportunity to bowl his full overs but at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, he will get this opportunity because the pitch will assist a traditional off spinner like him.

His batting, too, can come on show because to be fair he wasn’t needed to bat in previous matches. The top order did a wonderful job so the middle order was relieved from responsibilities but this match is on a different wicket so the middle order will be definitely in play.

Ravichandran Ashwin

3 wickets under the economy of 7 with the ball and 70 runs with the bat in last two matches played against CSK, these are numbers of R. Ashwin. Ashwin started his IPL career with CSK, and now he is troubling his ex team whenever he gets the opportunity to play against them.

The pitch of Jaipur is something that Ashwin will enjoy surely, it will stick to the pitch and trouble the batters. The boundaries are big out there so the catchers will always be in the game. Also, Ashwin has all the tricks under his sleeve to deceive left handed batting line-up of CSK and his record against left handed batters is extremely impressive.

Rajasthan Royals will surely want to find their winning ways back. A few days back, they were table toppers and were only toppled from the position after they lost to RCB and CSK defeated KKR.
