Ralf Rangnick believes it won’t take long for Manchester United to fight for titles again.
What did Ralf Rangnick say?
The German manager says quite a few players will leave the Red Devils this summer as he hopes some of the best players will arrive before next season. Manchester United beat Brentford 3-0 on Monday in Ralf’s last home game as interim head coach, with him due to take on a consulting role at Old Trafford next term. Ralf Rangnick is confident Man Utd can improve quickly as the end of a disappointing campaign nears, which will see them miss out on silverware and a place in next season’s Champions League.
Interim Red Devils manager Ralf Rangnick said it is clear that quite a few players will leave and there is a need for top quality players. Rangnick strongly believes that if everyone works together they can get Manchester United back where they belong. According to Ralf Rangnick, other clubs only needed two or three transfer windows to challenge, but from now on they need to bring in top quality players who really help raise the level. If that happens, Ralf doesn’t think it will take too long.
Two players will leave the club
The Red Devils men Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata were two such players who would leave the club when their contracts expired at the end of the season. Juan, who has been with the club since 2014, put on a great showing in his final match at Old Trafford and the manager was pleased with the quality the pair have added to the midfield. The German said they played with Matic and Mata and that gave them some quality in midfield. According to Ralf Rangnick, it was not too easy for Brentford to take the ball away from them. They played too many square and back passes in the first half, but overall it was a good performance.
