Ravichandran Ashwin is not known for praising the opponents in general, not his way to play the cricket because he is rather more involved in his own game. But this time things have gone differently, and R. Ashwin has praised the young all rounder of Australian team who scored a ton in the fourth and final test match.

The 23 years old Cameron Green has been a wonderful addition to the Australian team, his cricketing sense has been up to mark right throughout his brief test career so far, most importantly, he is a three dimensional player who can bat sensibly, can hit had lengths with the ball and always providing extra support to the bowlers in the field.

While talking about the match points, Ravichandran Ashwin shared his observation about the young all rounder. He said, “I hope you turned into the IPL auction. It just tells you, just tells you how the Indian cricket team paternity rates. Cameron Green, I think he is a fantastic player. Just this is the raw material that is available.”

Cameron Green was bought by Mumbai Indians in the IPL auctions 2023, and he was no one match wonder. He has been doing well for Western Australia, and his home side Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League.

During the 2022 T20i series against India in India, Green scored two half centuries in T20i, one coming as an opener. It was 20 balls half century that made everyone think if he can bat like that plus he can bowl, he can be an ultra contributor to any team’s success.

“The person as tall as him, has lovely levers, good batting sense, can bowl and really hit the deck really well, moves pretty well on the field. I mean these are once in a generation cricketer that you are talking about, ” Ashwin added.
