Fans will be hoping that the 33-year-old can make a comeback to cricket at the earliest as Jadeja provides incredible balance to the team with both bowling and batting ability. In his absence, team India has struggled to find the perfect option for an all-rounder.

The BCCI has not made any specific comment about Ravindra Jadeja playing in the T20 World Cup. As a result of Jadeja’s knee injury, a senior BCCI official told PTI on condition of anonymity that the Indian all-rounder is likely to be ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup.

“Jadeja’s right knee injury is quite serious. He is about to undergo major knee surgery and will be out of action indefinitely. At this point in time, if one goes by the NCA’s medical team’s assessment, no one can do it. May set a timeline on his imminent international return, said a BCCI official.
