RCB vs KKR: Coach Brendon McCullum is not very impressed with the team’s performance; Check What he says

In the sixth match of IPL 2022, RCB defeated KKR by 3 wickets. Now KKR coach Brendon McCullum has given the reason for the defeat. None of the KKR bowlers and batsmen could show a great game in the match.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) coach Brendon McCullum has made a big statement after the 3-wicket loss against RCB. He attributed the defeat to a particular reason. A big thing has also been saying about Andre Russell and Venkatesh Iyer.

The coach told is responsible for the defeat
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) coach Brendon McCullum lauded the intent of his batsmen but lamented the lack of luck despite their three-wicket loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

KKR’s batsmen failed on an uneven bouncy pitch, as the batsmen were dismissed for scoring runs at a fast pace, after which the entire team was all out for 128 runs.

Praises the batsmen

Brendon McCullum said, ‘To be honest, I was happy with the intention of the batsmen, but luck did not favour us, due to which we lost.’

McCullum further said that I want us to continue playing the attacking game because last year this team did well. You know that the players we have picked in the auction are suitable for them.

Kolkata lost the match

Kolkata’s bowlers performed exceptionally well in taking the match against Bengaluru to the last over, but their star all-rounder Andre Russell again struggled with shoulder problems during the defence of 128 runs.

He could not fulfil his quota of overs. Asked about the same, McCullum said that giving Russell another over with the ball was too risky.

Eventually, Russell bowled the final over, but Dinesh Karthik chased down the target with back-to-back boundaries. McCullum said Venkatesh Iyer will have to play a bigger role in the tournament with his skills.

Iyer bowled the 19th over, which hit two fours, making the victory easy for Bengaluru.
