Whatever could went wrong, went wrong for Lucknow Super Giants. Such. Kind of a match it was. Credit to Rajat Patidar for single handedly giving an advantageous momentum to Royal Challengers Bangalore which was always difficult to overcome by LSG.

The 54 balls 112 from Patidar was nothing less than the heroics RCB badly needed on a grand stage. Dinesh Karthik did what he has done throughout the tournament which is to give finishing touch. However, in this match, it was only a one man show.

Chasing 208, Lucknow Super Giants lost their match winner Quinton de Kick on 8. KL Rahul batted throughout the innings but never picked up the strike rate which was required to win the match. Again, Hasaranga and Hazlewood were the pick among the bowlers sharing five wickets between them.

With the loss, Lucknow Super Giants had their tournament ended in an unacceptable fashion. They could have done better but they were off spirit on the field which is never a good approach in a high magnitude match.
