Real Madrid launched an outrageous bid of 200 million euros for Kylian Mbappe this summer, but they’ll be forced to wait another year to make the signing as PSG refused to answer. In the end, only Camavinga was signed. But, with a number of strikers available this summer, there were other names who could have benefitted Real Madrid for less than 200m euros.

Real Madrid’s financial situation

There was a lot of talk over Erling Haaland, although Borussia Dortmund’s position on him seems to be the same as PSG’s on Mbappe. Harry Kane had looked for an exit from Tottenham this summer, the biggest thing regarding Real Madrid is that their financial situation, considering how much Florentino Perez is working on the team and signing side of things, their financial situation is in great state, and considering their offer for 200 million euros, it’s clear and obvious that their financial state is in great shape and form, the Real only really has one problem that needs to be solved in order to become even better club, it’s the offense from their side, it’s just underwhelming and it can be characterized by one word, mediocre, mediocrity of Real Madrid’s attack’s is the problem they indeed need to solve in order to evolve.

Who can they buy for 200 million they have?

Haaland and Pogba, Chelsea were the main team keane on Haaland this summer, but after buying Romelu Lukaku for a hefty 115m euros they are unlikely to launch an attack for the Norwegian next summer. The healthy relationship between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund also means that the Spanish capital may be the most likely destination for Haaland. Manchester United’s Paul Pogba’s contract also runs out in 2022, which will make him available as a free agent and there is no doubt Real Madrid will be keen to tie him down to a spell in Spain as well.
