A little about Paul Pogba

French international and Red Devils player Paul Pogba has yet to play under new manager Ralf Rangnick after Solskjaer was sacked at the end of November. The French footballer has been out of the Man Utd squad since the end of 2021 – so why is the Frenchman not playing and when is he most likely to return.

Why the Frenchman doesn’t play for the Red Devils

The French international is not playing for the Red Devils as he is currently recovering from a groin injury that Pogba suffered in international service with France back in November. Paul Pogba has been training in Dubai, taking advantage of the warmer conditions to return to full fitness.

What did Ralf Rangnick say about Paul Pogba?

New Red Devils manager Ralf Rangnick said on 18 January that 28-year-old Paul Pogba would likely be available after the next international break. Indeed, images posted to social media on 17 January showed Paul back in training and interim manager Man Utd’s is confident the player will be in contention to face Middlesbrough in the FA Cup on 4 February.

Ralf Rangnick said that Pogba had his first day of training yesterday with the whole group and the first training he showed what an extraordinary player he can be. According to Rangnick, Paul Pogba won’t be available for two games this week, but he’s hoping after the international break when they have a cup game against Middlesbrough and an away game against Burnley, Ralf thinks Paul Pogba might be an option.

What games will the Frenchman miss for the Red Devils?

If Paul bids for the FA Cup fourth round match against Middlesbrough on 4 February, he still has to sit out the PL matches against West Ham and Brentford which are due to take place before the international break.
