Amad Diallo fought for regular minutes with Man Utd and will now see the rest of the campaign at Ibrox.

A little about the topic

The Red Devils player has completed a loan move to Rangers, one year out of his initial £37m transfer to Old Trafford. Man Utd spent big money to bring Amad Diallo from Atalanta in January 2021, tying him to a five-season contract with an extra year option. The Ivorian has not yet been able to establish himself as a regular in the first Man Utd team, however, and now the decision has been made for the 19-year-old to continue development at Ibrox for the next six months.

What did Amad Diallo say?

The Ivorian footballer is excited to join the Scottish Premiership champions and could make his debut as early as this weekend, with Rangers to take part in a trip to Ross County. Amad Diallo told the club’s official website after making it public that he was happy to join Rangers before the end of the season. It’s fantastic for Diallo at this point in his career to be able to come to such a big club, which is challenging on a number of fronts and will give him some great opportunities to test himself in so many environments. According to Amad Diallo, he is looking forward to training with his teammates for the first time tomorrow and meeting fans for the first time in Ross County on Saturday.

Rangers manager Van Bronckhorst added that he was really happy to add Diallo to their squad for the rest of the season. Amad Diallo is a player he’s known about for a while and when the opportunity to sign him came up they know they really wanted it to happen. According to Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Diallo will add a lot to their squad and provide even more competition to players in the forward sections.
