David Miller Hits Fastest Century In T20 Cricket Again Bangladesh, 35 Balls 100, Potchefstroom, South Africa 224/4, Bangladesh 141 all out

David Miller has been outstanding in IPL 2022. His team has demanded the role of a consistent finisher from him and he has well stood up to the team’s need and success. With his 38 balls 68, he piloted his team to another grand victory so have decided yo bring forward one of his best innings in T20s. Today, we will remind you of the fastest century hit by David Miller in T20s against Bangladesh.

David Miller scored the fastest century in T20 International Cricket in 35 balls – including five consecutive sixes – and finished with 101 against Bangladesh. Miller scored his century from only 35 deliveries against Bangladesh in their second T20 match on Sunday (29th October). Miller broke the record for fastest T20 International century, reaching triple figures from just 35 deliveries.

With this paramount innings, he broke the previous record – held by fellow South African Richard Levi in 2012 – by 10 balls. Fellow South African Richard Levi took 45 balls to score a century against New Zealand at Hamilton in 2012, but David Millers knock was something very special, when he crushed bowler Mohammed Saifuddin for five successive sixes in the penultimate over of the innings.

Miller narrowly missed becoming just the third batsman to hit six sixes in one over of international cricket as he was unable to just hit the last ball off Mohammad Saifuddin over cover for one. David Miller struck two boundaries back-to-back from Rubel Hossain, and then edged a ball over the top off the long-off to make it two, before finally driving one wide off sweeper covers for a two, and making the quickest T20I hundred ever in only 35 balls. David Miller broke free in the 16th over, where he struck Rubel for four and two sixes, romping away for 42 off 20 balls.

Hashim Amla scoring 85 from 51 balls at the top. From there, David Miller and Hashim Amla took charge, putting together a partnership of 79 runs, with Amla sailing well past his fifties.

Despite Hashim Amla’s dismissal in the 17th over, Miller continued to carry Bangladeshs attack, and was dominant with an unbeaten 67-run stand that he put together with Farhaan Behardien. David Miller ended up making a record-breaking 101, which came from 36 deliveries and included seven boundaries and nine sixes, while Behardien went unbeaten for 6.

That is perfectly applicable for the Proteas batting great, David Miller, who went full steam ahead in the magnificent batting order at the Senwes Park, where he broke the world record of fastest international T20 century off 35 balls, against Bangladesh, Sunday, 29 October.
