Rodrygo Goes, Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward, assured that “it is a dream” to be among the top scorers in Madrid’s history in the Champions League, the competition with which he has a special idyll and in which he dreams of beating his compatriot Ronaldo Nazario. “It’s a dream to enter the top nine of the top scorers in the history of Real Madrid in the ‘Champions’. I hope I can score many more goals, I want to continue climbing positions in that ranking. It means a lot to me to be able to surpass Ronaldo, who is an idol for me, for Brazil and for our entire generation”, he assured in the club’s media.
Growth of the player
Rodrygo’s growth has no ceiling and the Brazilian striker reached the semifinals of the Champions League against Manchester City at his sweetest moment. “This season has been very good because of my work. All this is the result of a lot of work in training. I’m trying to improve, both at the club’s facilities and at home. It was natural for me to score more goals, give more assists and be increasingly important to the team. Everything is the result of my work”, he defended. He scored two goals for City in the comeback last year and reached the reunion after signing two goals against Chelsea and two in the Copa del Rey final.
