With Romelu Lukaku and Cristiano Ronaldo both fighting for the Euro 2020 Golden Boot, the Belgian has admitted he would like the Portuguese star’s ability to dribble.
The pair will come face to face when Portugal meet Belgium in the Euro 2020 round of 16, with Ronaldo leading the goalscoring charts on five goals, with Lukaku having three strikes to his name. “On the personal level, yes,” Lukaku told the press, when asked if facing Ronaldo in Serie A had helped him as a player.
As a team it was just important to win the championship. We’ve done it. It was exceptional, the way we were in all the big matches, we won a lot, it was a great season for us. We hope to do it next year. I would like to have Cristiano’s dribble and the way he kicks the ball. He would like to have my power!”

Ronaldo’s goal scoring exploits at Euro 2020 have led to him to match Ali Daei’s International record of 109 goals, while the Juventus man is also top-scoring European player at major tournaments with 21 goals. Those are impressive numbers, Lukaku added. If there is anybody who can achieve those numbers it’s him, hats off to him, to do that over and over.
Then the next game he scored a hat-trick. It’s motivational when you have somebody in your own league who can do it at that age, then you think why couldn’t I get to that level, or as close as possible? He’s a player you can count on, he wins. That’s impressive. Romelu Lukaku is always impressed by the legendary player. The Belgian noted that he would be happy to have everything from Cristiano.
