There was a full drama when last time these two teams had the outing. This time, Delhi Capitals comfortably won the match by 8 wickets. For Delhi Capitals, Mitchell Marsh was the hero the needed and he performed well in his character.

With this win, Delhi Capitals has kept their playoff hopes alive while it Rajasthan Royals will see it as a learning curve. Batting first, Royals lost Jos Buttler cheaply and from thereon, the struggle for quality run rate continued till the end of the innings.

For RR, Ashwin, surprisingly batting at number 3, scored first IPL fifty. In the middle overs, Devdutt Padikkal accelerated the run rate but RR missed the absence of Shimron Hetmyer. Delhi didn’t face any trouble in chasing down 161. The Aussie duos Mitchell Marsh and David Warner shared 144 runs partnership and RR went out of hope too soon.
