Arjun Tendulkar is a part of Mumbai Indians from IPL 2021, but he has not been made a part of the team’s playing XI even once in two seasons.
When Tendulkar was asked whether he would have liked to see Arjun play this year, he said on the show ‘Sachin Insight’, ‘That is a different question. What I’m thinking or what I’m feeling doesn’t matter. Season is over for Mumbai Indians.
Need to work hard
Arjun did not get a chance to play even once during Mumbai’s 28 matches in the last two seasons and the former great has told the budding all-rounder that the road is going to be challenging for him and he will have to keep working hard.
Tendulkar said, ‘I always have this thing with Arjun that it will be challenging for him, it will be difficult. You started playing cricket because you love cricket, keep doing it, keep working hard and you will get results.
Do not interfere in team selection
Tendulkar, the only cricketer to play 200 Tests, said that as far as selection is concerned, he leaves it to the team management. Tendulkar said, ‘If we talk about selection, I never involve myself in the selection.
I leave all these things to the team management as I have always worked like this. 22-year-old Arjun has played only two T20 matches for his home team Mumbai in his career so far.
