Sadio Mane is allegedly leaving Liverpool this summer after a six-year spell, adding to Jurgen Klopp’s troubles following their Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid on Saturday night.

Mane was linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the build-up to the Champions League final in Paris. However,  he refused to be pulled into the conjecture until the match had been played.

Mane has yet to notify Liverpool that he wants to leave this summer although rumors indicate he has decided his future lies elsewhere.

It is also thought that the Reds will accept a bid of more than £35 million to do business with Bayern Munich.

Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist, said on Sunday that Mane has opted to leave Liverpool.

Bayern Munich are ‘strong competitors’ for the Senegalese winger, who has nearly every title imaginable during his tenure on Merseyside.

‘Sadio Mane has chosen to leave Liverpool this summer,’ Romano tweeted.

After many memorable years with the Reds, he’s ready for a new adventure, which the club will confirm.

‘FC Bayern Munich are strong candidates – yet the competition is still open and unfinished since Sadio wants to wait until the final.’

Before the loss to Real Madrid, Klopp was asked about Mane’s future, but he remained tight-lipped.

‘Sadio is in the best form of his life, a delight to witness in training and games,’ he remarked.

We put a lot of pressure on him. He’s had a long season with a lot of finals, and it’s been one of his most successful seasons thus far.’

‘Wherever Sadio plays next season, he will be a major player,’ Klopp continued. Definitely.’

Mane has been one of Liverpool’s most important players in recent years, scoring 120 goals and assisting 48 times in 269 games since arriving for £34 million from Southampton in 2016.
