Bayern Munich has allegedly planned their summer pursuit of Sadio Mane, with speculation increasing in Bavaria that he will say goodbye’ to Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool following the Champions League final.

In the build-up to Saturday’s major battle against Real Madrid in Paris, Mane has so far refused to be drawn on his future.

The 30-year-old is in the final year of his Liverpool contract, and a fresh story details how Bayern Munich hopes to sign him this summer.

Mane’s agreement to stay at Anfield has yet to materialize. It is therefore reported that Bayern Munich is interested in acquiring him for £25 million.

Given that Liverpool’s season is still ongoing, no serious conversations are understood to have taken place. But official talks are expected to begin following Saturday’s Champions League final.

The link to Bayern, which was reported by Sportsmail at the start of the month, caught Anfield authorities entirely off guard.

Bayern Munich has a history of being in the midst of significant transfer stories around April or May, such as when Mats Hummels, Mario Gotze, and Robert Lewandowski were recruited from German rivals Borussia Dortmund.
When asked about his future on Merseyside this week, Mane remained tight-lipped.

‘Winning it and making it seven will undoubtedly be amazing,’ he added (European Cup wins for the club). And I’ll respond to this question (about my future) after the Champions League. ‘Whether you stay or not, I’ll respond after the Champions League.’

According to reports,  Mane’s agent met in Mallorca to discuss a prospective contract, although it’s thought the player has had no such discussions because Liverpool has spent the last several months trying for a historic quadruple.

For a long time, the future of Liverpool’s fabled front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah has been a point of contention.

Mane told reporters earlier this month that he is ‘honestly really pleased’ at the Merseyside club after scoring the game-winning goal against Aston Villa.
