Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, Harshit Rana added to India squad for first two Zimbabwe T20Is

Indian cricket selectors have made some key changes to the squad traveling to Zimbabwe for the upcoming T20I series. Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana have been called up to replace Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Sudharsan, who made his ODI debut in South Africa last year, is joined by Sharma, who has played nine T20Is for India, and Rana, who had a standout performance in the IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders.

The trio’s inclusion comes as Samson, Dube, and Jaiswal were delayed in Barbados due to a Hurricane after India’s T20 World Cup win. They will now travel back to India before heading to Harare for the final three T20Is of the series.

India has opted for a relatively inexperienced squad for the upcoming series, with Shubman Gill leading the team. The five-match T20I series is set to begin on July 6 at the Harare Sports Club, concluding on July 14. The team includes promising young talents like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Washington Sundar, and Ravi Bishnoi.
