The Liverpool side knew what they wanted as early as the 7th minute, when Nunez found the back of the net thanks to a well-placed pass from Szoboszlai. Just a minute later, Liverpool’s Clark doubled their lead after a sloppy mistake from the visitors.

A moment of truth was witnessed when Salah stretched the lead to 3:0 in the 10th minute, capitalizing a pass from Clark consequent of another mistake of the Sparta Prague’s defense. The Egyptian’s clinical finish showcased his quality and determination as he became the first player in Liverpool’s history to score at least 20 goals in seven consecutive seasons.

Unmoved, Liverpool kept marching on and Gakpo tagged his name to this supremacy on the scoresheet. A perfect one-two between Salah and Nunez set up the Dutchman to fire a powerful shot making it 4-0 for the hosts.

Sparta Prague did manage to get a consolation goal through Birmancevic just before halftime. However, Liverpool’s dominance was far from over.

In the second half, Szoboszlai scored a lucky deflected goal in the 48th minute, before Gakpo scored his second of the night in the 55th minute, thanks to a clever flick from Harvey Elliott.

The Liverpool fans were treated to an absolute masterclass from their team. They were entertained with fluid and attacking football throughout the game. Salah’s immense contribution to the victory was praised by manager Jurgen Klopp, who stated that his desire to score and deliver for the team is unmatched.

“Mo is just delivering and delivering and delivering, his desire doesn’t stop, his quality is there.” Klopp said.

The win over Sparta Prague sees Liverpool progress to the Europa League quarter-finals, edging one step closer to potentially adding another trophy to their cabinet. Defender Conor Bradley also expressed the team’s motivation to win every possible trophy for departing boss Jurgen Klopp, saying, “We just want to win every trophy we can for him and give him the best send-off we can.”

Liverpool will now shift their focus back to the Premier League, as they continue their push for a top-four finish. With Salah and Gakpo in top form, the Reds will be a force to be reckoned with as they aim to end the season on a high note.
