Jadon Sancho has been in the spotlight for his underwhelming Man United form after arriving from Dortmund, with media in Germany delivering the latest taunt

Jadon Sancho has been brutally taunted in the German media over his nightmare start at Manchester United since joining from Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho, 21, cost the Red Devils £73m  but he is still yet to produce a goal or assist for his new club.

The England international has lost his place in the starting XI in recent fixtures and he was an unused substitute for the 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool.

Therefore, Sancho’s poor form and lack of goal involvements is surprising given his consistent brilliance for Dortmund.

The winger scored 16 times and registered 20 assists during his final season with the Bundesliga giants, convincing United to follow up their interest from the previous summer and sign him.

Sancho’s struggles since leaving Dortmund have not gone unnoticed on the continent. He was mocked ruthlessly in a Germany graphic following the heavy defeat by Liverpool.

The broadcaster portrayed the player as James Bond in a suit and bow tie and wrote, “They call me 007” – referencing Sancho’s tally of zero goals and zero assists in seven Premier League appearances.

While Sancho was included in the Three Lions squad for October’s World Cup qualifiers, manager Gareth Southgate admitted to serious concerns over his form.

“Jadon was exceptional, he was electric. The crowd loved him and I think he felt that connection,” said Solskjaer.

“He was direct, positive, he went past the full-back numerous times. Yes, he’s not scored yet but I thought, ‘that’s Jadon and we’re going to see lots of that’.

“Gareth has also said it’s important that Jadon knows (England) believe in him and are invested in him.”

It appears Solskjaer favors Greenwood and Rashford on the flanks, with the latter recently recovering from shoulder surgery to increase the competition for minutes in the United attack.
