Chelsea’s new signer, 26-year-old midfielder Saul Niguez, says he hopes for a quick fix in London and has already asked compatriot Arrizabalaga to speak only English to him.

Saul always wanted to play in the Premier League

Saul Niguez made the day-to-day move to Stamford Bridge from Atlético Madrid as part of a lease deal that could become permanent at the end of the season. Niguez says he has always wanted to play in the Premier League and hopes to pick up the language as quickly as possible.

What did Saul Niguez say?

Saul Niguez told the club’s website that he spent 15 years in Atletico Madrid, this is his home. Then, when the opportunity arose to join Chelsea, Saul couldn’t put it down. The last day of the transfer window was crazy, but in the end Saul could have come here as they all hoped, so he should take this chance. Since Saul was a child, he always had two goals – to make history at Atlético Madrid and to play in the Premier League, not only because of the league itself, but also because of its culture and language.

The language is a big problem for Saul and he wants to learn it as soon as possible so that he can communicate with his teammates in a simple and comfortable way. At Atletico Saul spoke to Trippier, but Saul’s English is not good enough. Spanish player doesn’t even dare to give interviews in English!

According to Saul Niguez it is really important to have Spanish players around. Having Marcos Alonso, Cesar Azpilicueta and Kepa Arrizabalaga, especially Arrizabalaga, who has shared a room with Saul since they started playing for the Spain youth national team.

The 26-year-old midfielder has already told Kepa Arrizabalaga to speak English because he needs to learn and get used to it. Niguez doesn’t want to speak Spanish with them. He can help him, but Saul will try to speak English with him as much as possible if he doesn’t fight.
