The leg-spinner has played 84 T20 games for Pakistan and 98 wickets to his credit, with best statistics of 4-8. Shadab is known for his wicket taking abilities in any situation of the match.

In 2017, he played his first T20I for Pakistan against the West Indies, and he immediately made an impression. He won back-to-back games’ man of the match awards after capturing a total of seven wickets for 21 runs.
Khan has had a top score of 52 while scoring 476 runs with a strike rate of 143.8 in his 38 T20I batting innings. His most memorable innings came against South Africa in a must win T20 World Cup match last year in November.
With the age of 24, Khan has already participated in 225 domestic T20 matches, scoring 2088 runs at a strike rate of 136.91.
Shadab Khan participated in the Blast for Yorkshire last year, is eager to join Mushtaq Ahmed in representing Sussex at The 1st Central County Ground.
Sussex bowling coach James Kirtley, said: “Shadab will provide amazing experience in our middle order, he is someone who has played all around the world and has experienced many situations, which can only benefit our team.
“He really does provide flexibility to our side as he can score runs and take wickets in crucial moments, but more than anything else he is an experienced head that Ravi Bopara can go to as captain to look for support when making crucial in-game decisions.
“I know that he will have a massive impact on our team this year.”
