Mumbai scored a challenging 161 for four in 20 overs in the 14th match of the IPL 2022. However, the winning total proved to be nothing but peanuts. Kolkata Knight Riders ended the match four overs earlier. Pat Cummins did a powerful shut down of the innings and made Shah Rukh Khan his new fan.

Seeing this innings of Pat Cummins, Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shahrukh Khan shared a post on Twitter.
Sharing the post, Shah Rukh wrote, “Wow again KKR boys, Pat Cummins I want to dance like Andre Russell and hug like the team did, Wow, very good KKR and here what to say… Pat diye sixes.”
Pat Cummins arrived in India after the Pakistan tour ended and was playing the first match of the season. During the bowling, Cummins took two wickets giving 49 runs in 4 overs. Also, his return to KKR has boosted the team’s morale.
When he came to the crease to bat, KKR was well under pressure. Unexpectedly, he bolstered in innings and finished the game in style. MI captain Rohit Sharma could do nothing but put his hand on head in despair. His whole strategy failed whereas ensured the team’s victory by scoring 35 runs in the 16th over.

Bumrah Rana Saga
After the end of the match, Bumrah and Rana have been blamed for violating the rules.
Jasprit Bumrah and Nitish Rana were sentenced by the authorities. During the match, Bumrah and Rana were found guilty of violating the IPL code of conduct.
However, which rule has been violated by them, it has not been disclosed. The official Twitter account of IPL confirmed that both were sentenced for breaching the Level 1 Code of Conduct in the 14th match of IPL 15.
“Jasprit Bumrah of Mumbai Indians has been reprimanded for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Pune,” the release said. Bumrah admitted to the offence of Level 1 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the punishment.
The official statement further said that KKR batsman Rana has been fined 10% of his match fee due to the offence.
