Tottenham are in advanced talks to sign Everton and Brazil midfielder Richarlison in the forthcoming transfer window.
Richarlison made it known last month that he was evaluating his future at Goodison Park, and it’s been believed that discussions between the two Premier League teams are well advanced.
While Chelsea and Arsenal were also said to be interested in Richarlison, it looks like Spurs have made the first attempt to secure his services.
The clubs have discussed a €60 million (£51 million) agreement to bring Richarlison to north London, according to the Brazilian newspaper.
Antonio Conte’s side are in the midst of discussing a deal with the 25-year-old attacker as they aim to complete their third signing of the summer window.
Spurs have already confirmed the free transfers of Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic and Southampton’s Fraser Forster, with Daniel Levy eager to complete business before the start of pre-season.
Following interest from a number of Premier League teams, Richarlison indicated last month that he was pondering his future.
‘Now I can’t talk, because when we talk about leaving a club, I’m sort of like this, because of my history at Everton and the affection that the supporters have for me,’ the forward stated. I’m a little dumbfounded when we talk about leaving.’
Last season, the Brazilian international was instrumental in the Toffees’ Premier League survival, scoring in a 3-2 comeback win over Crystal Palace.
Since joining Everton from Watford four years ago, the 25-year-old has scored 53 goals in 152 outings across all competitions.
