Royal Challengers Bangalore (SRH vs RCB) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 67 runs in the 54th match of the IPL on the back of the superb bowling of spinner Wanindu Hasaranga after the captaincy innings of Faf du Plessis.
This is RCB’s seventh win in 12 matches. He has got 14 points. On the other hand, this is the sixth defeat of Sunrisers Hyderabad in eleven matches. Chasing the target of 193 runs set by RCB, the Orange Army, could only score 125 runs in 19.2 overs. Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore had set a target of 193 runs in front of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Captain Faf du Plessis scored 73 runs for Bangalore.
Apart from them, Rajat Patidar scored 48, Glenn Maxwell 33 and Dinesh Karthik played an unbeaten 30 not out. For Hyderabad, both the wickets of RCB were taken by spinner Jagdish Suchit. RCB remains on the fourth position in the IPL 2022 points table by winning 6 matches. At the same time, Hyderabad made a tremendous comeback after losing the opening match and after winning 5 matches are in the sixth place in the points table. This match is important for both the teams in terms of making it to the playoffs.
