Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar believes that Sunrisers Hyderabad’s yorker specialist T Natarajan can present his claim to Team India in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

Gavaskar said that Natarajan has been troubling the batsmen with his good bowling as well as yorker in the death overs of this IPL.

Gavaskar said in Cricket Live on Star Sports, “He has always been a yorker specialist but we have recently In those days it has been seen that he swings the ball late due to which the batsmen get upset. So it’s nice to see Natarajan continuously improving.

The former cricketer said that due to his ability to bowl with discipline in the death overs, he could be a great player as a fast bowler for India in T20.

He said, “It is great to see him improve because for a while it seemed that India lost the yorker specialist.

It’s great to see him come back, he’s bowling really well, especially in the death overs between 16 and 20. He can be a contender for Team India because of his better bowling in the death overs.

Gavaskar said, “I think it is a matter of confidence. Due to injury last year, he could not go to the top of the game. However, now he is full of confidence. He said, “India’s tour of Australia for T20 is after four months and he wants Natarajan to tour Australia.
