Ibrahimovic, who is out due to injury, says he is eager to extend his stay at San Siro. The veteran striker said a day without his AC Milan team-mates ‘is like one without my children.’

Ibrahimovic has been outstanding in Stefano Pioli’s squad since returning to Milan, but he has a few months left to run on his current contract.

However, he revealed he is in the dark regarding a contract renewal. He made clear that he is ready to agree to fresh terms with the club.

Responding to whether he will be in AC next season, he said, “I don’t know, let’s see. If Paolo (Maldini) wants, I am up for it.

“I wanted to be there (for the Verona game) because I feel too much inside, and I missed the team too much,” he said.

“When I spend a day without them, it’s like one without my children,” he added.

Ibrahimovic also added on several roles he plays in Milan.

“At Milan, I have many responsibilities, and I feel like a leader.

“This team is the only team where I am excited. I want to give a lot and teach a lot to be a guide because when they look at me they expect something from me.”

“There are still many matches, everything is possible,” said Ibrahimovic, who still believes the Scudetto is up for grabs. “They only have one match a week and have more time to recover. My job is to win trophies, and I came to Milan to win.”

Meanwhile, Reports claims that Juventus are ready to cash in on their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, to balance off their books. If such reports are to go by, the club is ready to let the Portuguese go and keep Matthijs de Ligt.
