TATA IPL 2022: The bugle has been sounded for the 15th season of the Indian Premier League. The date for the start of the tournament has been revealed.

Along with this, it has now also been confirmed that IPL 2022 will be played in the nation only under the shadow of COVID-19.

The 15th season of TATA IPL will kickoff on Mar 26. The decision was taken in the IPL Governing Council meeting on Thursday.

Indian Premier League President Brijesh Patel revealed in a conversation with cricket website Cricbuzz that the tournament will start from March 26. The final match will take place on May 29.

TATA IPL 2022 Latest News:

The good news for cricket fans is that this time there will be no matches in the empty stadium. This means that rates suspects will be allowed into the stadium during the bouts.

However, it has not yet been decided what percentage of the people will be allowed to go to the stadium. Its decision during the league round will be taken according to the rules of the Government of Maharashtra. However, at least 25 or 50 per cent rates will undoubtedly be present in the stadium.

15 matches will be held in Mumbai, no decision on play-off yet.

It has been decided in the IPL Governing Council meeting that 55 matches will be played in Mumbai and 15 in Pune in the league stage. All league matches will be played in four stadiums.

20 matches will be played at Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium, 15 matches at Brabourne Stadium and 15 matches at Mahadesh Cricket Stadium in Pune. However, no information has been revealed about the play-off matches yet.

This may be the format of IPL 2022

A total of 10 teams will participate in IPL 2022. Given this, the BCCI has changed the format of the tournament. For IPL 2022, 10 teams have been divided into two groups.

There will be five more teams in Group A and five teams in Group B. A team will play at least 14 matches in the group round.

Each team will get a chance to play twice against each other in their group. Two matches will play against anyone team of the other group.
