TATA IPL 2022: Aakash Chopra selects his playing11 for CSK vs KKR opening IPL Clash|Check

The 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to start on 26 March.  In the first match, Chennai Super Kings will face Kolkata Knight Riders.

Both of them met in the final of IPL 2021, where Chennai won. Former Indian cricketer and current cricket commentator Aakash Chopra has given his opinion about which playing XI, captained by MS Dhoni, can take the field with CSK.

CSK will have to miss the services of Moeen Ali and Deepak Chahar in their first match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 26.

Moeen Ali is still waiting for his visa while Deepak Chahar is recovering from an injury.  In such a situation, the playing XI combination of Chennai Super Kings is shaken.

However, Aakash Chopra says that Devon Conway should be sent along with Rituraj Gaikwad in this match as the opening.

Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel, “There are some complications with Chennai Super Kings. If Moeen Ali is not available, who will be the overseas player for the first match?

I see Devon Conway opening with Rituraj Gaikwad. You will get a left-handed opener. At No. 3, if you don’t have Moeen Ali, then there is Robin Uthappa. After Moeen Ali comes, you will have to think again about your overseas team, which side you want to go.”

Chopra said, “After the top 3 players you have Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dubey and MS Dhoni at number seven. Then Dwayne Bravo.

I have put Rajvardhan Hungergekar, Chris Jordan and Adam Milne on my team. So  My four overseas players are Dwayne Bravo, Adam Milne, Chris Jordan and Devon Conway. Either Jordan or Bravo will play when Chahar becomes available.”

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dubey, MS Dhoni (wk and captain), Dwayne Bravo, Rajvardhan Hungergekar, Chris Jordan and Adam Milne.
