Curran, who has played for Chennai Super Kings, told ‘ESPNcricinfo. ‘I am disappointed that I am not playing. It is disappointing to watch this (IPL) sitting at home.

Sam Curran said, ‘I wanted to participate in the auction. But in the end, I didn’t, which was probably the best decision. Looking back, it might have been a little too early to play in the IPL.’

Sam Curran said, ‘I want to go back to the IPL at some stage. Because you learn a lot about your T20 game there. This is a tournament where you only talk and learn about cricket. You go to breakfast in the morning and you are sitting with the superstar and chatting about the game.
The focus will be on securing his place in the squad for the Test series against New Zealand in June and the T20 World Cup in Australia in October.
