IPL is being organized in Mumbai from 26 March. Before that, the incident of vandalism in a team bus heated the atmosphere. MNS workers protested against the arrival of buses from outside the state and broke the windows of the bus.
Activists of Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena broke the windows of a luxury bus parked outside a five-star hotel. On receiving the information, a team of Colaba police stations reached there and arrested five people in connection with the incident.
Security beefed up outside the hotel
Taking the incident seriously, police have beefed up security around Hotel Taj Mahal Palace, an official said.

At midnight, about half a dozen MNS-Wahtuk Sena (Transport Wing) workers barged near the bus, pasted posters of their demands in front of the bus, raised slogans and started smashing windows.
Police have arrested five people and they will be produced before a magistrate court later on Wednesday.
What is the matter
After this incident, MNS-VS president Sanjay Naik said that they were protesting because buses from outside the state have been brought for IPL in Mumbai.
In such a situation, the local people are being denied employment opportunities though they can provide similar vehicles as per the requirement.

Despite our protests, they have allowed several buses and other small vehicles from Delhi and other parts to come here. This is affecting the livelihood of the local Marathi people.”
