Rajasthan Royals batting coach Kumar Sangakkara said that in the off-season, we worked to overcome our weak aspects. Now we have a capable team.
The team of Rajasthan Royals (RR), which won the first title of the Indian Premier League (IPL), is waiting for its second title since 2008.
In the last three seasons, it has been the worst team, which could not progress beyond 7th place in season 2019, 8th in 2020 and then 7th in 2021.
But this time the team’s head coach and director of cricket Kumar Sangakkara hope that his team has the potential to perform strongly and is a ‘very capable team.
The upcoming season of IPL (IPL 2022) will start on March 26. Former Sri Lankan captain Sangakkara said, ‘We know that we need to do a lot of work for our team in the off-season.

I think we were able to identify the departments that needed attention and followed due process while selecting the players in the auction. We were able to meet the criteria set for us.

He said, ‘I think the franchise has done a great job choosing a strong team.’ Responding to the team combination, Sangakkara said that the presence of Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin will make a big difference.
“We have two of the best spinners in the IPL in terms of leg-spin and off-spin in Chahal and Ashwin.
We have a strong fast bowling line-up in Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Navdeep Saini, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Obed McKay, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson. And there is Jos Butler, whom we retained.
Sangakkara said, “We have depth in every department, Jimmy Neesham, Mitchell and Recy van der Dussen are fine cricketers.
We also have some good young Indian cricketers. The main thing is that our team is very capable.
