Cricket lovers are eagerly waiting for the schedule of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). As the opening match will be the final rematch of 2021 where CSK will take on KKR. At the same time, the final match will be played on May 29.

The first match is likely to be between four-time champion team Chennai Super Kings and two-time title-winning Kolkata Knight Riders. This means that Iyer, the new captain of Kolkata, may have to face the experienced Dhoni in the opening match itself.

According to the diggingsports, the inaugural match of the 15th season of IPL will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. All four matches of the playoff are likely to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

A total of 20 matches of the league round will be played at Wankhede. Apart from this, 20 matches will be held at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai and 15 at Brabourne Stadium. At the same time, 15 matches will also be held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Separate traffic lanes will be available for the tournament

The Mumbai Cricket Association ground at Bandra-Kurla Complex and Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane will be used for training. BCCI has been assured by the Maharashtra government to provide a traffic lane for the tournament. This will save IPL teams from jam.

Aaditya Thackeray holds meeting with BCCI

MCA’s Governing Council President Milind Narvekar said that he had a meeting with the BCCI on Saturday. During this, Maharashtra Tourism and Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray was also present. Narvekar told The Indian Express, “The Maharashtra government is going to fully support the BCCI to organize a successful IPL. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will take the final decision on the audience going to the stadium.

Two teams will stay in one hotel

It is learned that the Maharashtra government will allow crowds up to 25 per cent of the stadium’s capacity for games. Ten teams will take part in this season. Lucknow Supergiants and Gujarat Lions will appear in IPL for the first time. BCCI has decided to keep two teams in a five star hotel.
