TATA IPL 2022: Virat Kohli praises new RCB captain Faf Du Plessis says, ‘Excited to play under him’

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take to the field in IPL 2022 to end their title drought. This time the command of the team is in the hands of a new captain.

After Virat Kohli stepped down as RCB captain, the franchise has appointed former South African captain Faf du Plessis as the new captain of the team.

Kohli has been a part of the Bangalore team since the start of IPL in 2008 and was also the full-time captain of the team since 2013. But he left the captaincy last season.

After Faf du Plessis got the captaincy of RCB, Kohli has now revealed why the franchise chose the South African batsman as their leader. Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Du Plessis for Rs 7 crore in the IPL Mega Auction 2022.
