IPL is the biggest cricket league in the world. Cricketers from all over the world are desperate to play this league, the reason behind this is that this league gives both wealth and fame to the players. Many players even leave playing for their country and agree to play in the IPL. The same thing has now been done by the players of one country as well.

These players are leaving the country’s team for IPL

South Africa’s Test captain Dean Elgar has asked his fellow players to play for the country against Bangladesh instead of the upcoming IPL as it is a test of his loyalty and he should give priority to the country. But African players can skip the Bangladesh tour to play IPL.

South Africa has to play three ODIs and two Tests against Bangladesh from March 18 while the IPL will be played from March 26 to May 29. The ODI matches will be held on March 18, 20 and 23. After this, a two-Test series will start from March 31, which will run till April 12. According to ESPN Cricinfo, Cricket South Africa has left it to the players to choose the IPL or play against Bangladesh.

Elgar said, ‘The players should indicate to Cricket South Africa whether they want to play IPL or for the country. This is a test of the loyalty of the players. They should not forget that they have reached IPL only by playing Test or ODI cricket. 11 cricketers from South Africa are part of different teams of IPL, in which 6 are Test cricketers and three are ODI cricketers.

Elgar said, ‘I will tell the players about their position in the team and will talk to every player. I would tell them that they should not forget where they have come and where we have come as a team.
