Bale

Gareth Bale leaves Real Madrid for good – after 9 years filled with constant injuries (he missed more than 600 days), quarrels with fans and legendary goals. The Welshman was taken as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo – but something constantly prevented Bale from revealing himself to the fullest.

Now the payroll will be easier.

Bale said goodbye in a sincere letter

Full text of Gareth’s message to fans:

“In this letter, I want to thank all my partners, past and present, my coaches, club staff and fans who supported me.

I came here nine years ago as a young guy who wanted to realize his dream of playing for Real Madrid. Put on a crisp white shirt and see the badge on the chest, play at the Santiago Bernabéu, win titles and be part of what this club is known for – with a Champions League win.

Now I can look back, reflect and honestly admit that I realized a dream – and even more.

Being a part of the history of this club and achieving what we have achieved has been an incredible experience that I will never forget. I also want to thank President Florentino Pérez, José Angel Sanchez and management for giving me the opportunity to play for this club.

Together we created some moments that will forever go down in the history of the club and football. It was an honor for me. Thank you!

HALA MADRID!

Gareth is Real Madrid’s most controversial legend. He left a gigantic number of memories

A few days before the Champions League final, Jurgen Klopp spoke particularly fondly of Bale: “Gareth is not liked in Madrid. I just can’t believe it. And I would have adored him for that goal alone, to be honest, if I were a Real Madrid fan. Bale really never got along with the fans, but he definitely wrote his name in the history of Real Madrid – not a single player from the field scored more goals in the Champions League finals for Madrid than Gareth Bale with his 3 goals. At the same time, 2 out of 3 of his goals turned out to be victorious.

It all started in 2014. Gareth had just moved to Real Madrid and plowed every inch of the field – so Marc Bartra did not help even the fact that he pushed the Welshman out of the field. Then there was the big goal.

What’s next? May retire soon

Maybe Bale wanted to stay at Madrid for another season, but the club strongly opposed it. Mbappe’s refusal did not change the situation – Gareth’s history at Real Madrid ended before the start of this season, the club is looking for a new striker.

According to The Athletic, Bale could end up playing football if Wales don’t qualify for the 2022 World Cup. Strong Austria has already passed in the joints, but the decisive game with the winner of the Scotland-Ukraine pair is ahead.

If Wales do end up in Qatar, Gareth is ready to play another season to keep fit.

In the meantime – a touching farewell to the club, where he won five Champions League.
